Burger King January 2025. Burger king’s parent company, restaurant brands international inc., is buying out the chain’s biggest franchisee in the u.s. Restaurant brands international is buying carrols restaurant group, the largest burger king franchisee in the u.s., for about $1 billion in cash.
The brand plans to keep a couple of hundred restaurants in. It already owned 15 percent carrols’ stock.
